Docufile is the only records management company in Africa that makes use of three key risk management technologies
When detecting a fire in its incipient stage is imperative, VESDA can prevent damage to vital records by detecting a fire incident before smoke is visible to the human eye. VESDA works by continuously and proactively sampling the air through a series of pipes and sensors that detect the presence of smoke before facilities, records and business continuity is compromised. VESDA buys time to investigate an alarm and initiate an appropriate response to prevent injury, property damage or business disruption.
VESDA detectors have multi-level warnings and a wide range of sensitivity that does not degrade or change over time, so even minute levels of smoke can be detected before a fire has time to escalate. VESDA systems are manufactured using targeted Six Sigma techniques and ISO 9000 standards and have been certified and are recognised by regulatory bodies worldwide.
Another industry first, Docufile’s Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) asset tracking technology provides an added layer of document management efficiency and accuracy. RFID technology uses tags to receive and transmit radio signals to readers/interrogators that pick up the signal. The tags contain antennas that receive and respond to radio-frequency queries and an electrical transponder, which stores information that can be used to identify the item to which it is attached.
RFID barcode tracking enables comprehensive audits to be performed in a fraction of the time with >99.9% accuracy. The use of RFID increases security for sensitive materials and can be used as additional layer of authentication. Internationally, RFID is being deployed to ensure compliance with legislative requirements for improved controls and better risk management. RFID is unsurpassed in its ability to provide customers with up to date, accurate audit reports that confirm and validate the location of every RFID box stored.
Docufile’s VAMSA systems deliver unparalleled situational awareness from the edge of our facilities to their cores, transforming a traditionally reactive security program to a comprehensive proactive early threat detection system. The system includes passive infrared and video motion detection, robust video and audio recording and transmission, remote monitoring software, energy-efficient video storage, flexible and scalable access control, integrated security alarm management, and integrated command and control software. With VAMSA we have a full time 360-degree view of all safety and security aspects of our facilities thereby keeping your information secure.
